Maritime Workforce

ASA provides members with specialist expertise on a variety of employee relations issues and has focused in recent years on finding solutions for the skill shortage.

ASA members undertake their own individual enterprise bargaining negations and participation in the ASA Human Resources (HR) Committee provides a unique opportunity to discuss workforce related issues with peers from within the industry.

ASA liaise regularly with each of the maritime unions and other employer groups who employ Australian seafarers.  The atmosphere of the industry, as gleaned from these discussions, is regularly reported to ASA members.
