HR Committee

Attendance at the ASA Human Resources Committee is open to ASA Principal and Commercial members and provides an opportunity for member companies to liaise as a group to discuss various issues that have occurred over the past quarter.  These meetings offer participants the opportunity to connect with others that share a similar focus within their respective organisations.  The HR Committee provides an excellent opportunity for networking and problem-solving.

The HR Committee provides an insight into what is best practice within the maritime industry in the field of human resources and enables the development of strategic plans and projects.

Twice annually the Committee hosts a liaison meeting with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) to consider issues where AMSA has responsibility such as certification, standards, foreign ticket recognition, medical inspection, OH&S etc.
